The word “sprezzatura” derives from Baldassare Castiglione’s, The Book of the Courtier, in which he defines the word as, “a certain nonchalance, so as to conceal all art and make whatever one does or says appear to be without effort and almost without any thought about it.” At, SprezzaturaNY, this is what we live by. Day by day, the founders of the brand live the lives of young creatives growing up in New York City. We are intrigued by all forms of art: clothing, food, music, and everything else we now classify as “art.” Our inspirations are drawn from everyday life and the simplistic art that the city and our peers present to us without even knowing.

SprezzaturaNY is launched and we will begin the revelation of our brand to the world through various editorials in the realms of clothing, music, food, and the overall lifestyle of the lives we live as creative young adults growing up in New York City. At SprezzaturaNY, we will be marketing ourselves by showcasing our experiences and encounters with the various individuals and establishments around us. SprezzaturaNY. At SprezzaturaNY, the day to day lives of the founders will be exhibited, SprezzaturaNY will be a source where people around the world can gain an insight into the lives of creative individuals trying to make a name for themselves.

As our efforts progress, our objective is to supply the needed exposure to various creatives we know in the art forms of fashion, food, and music. We want to setup an infrastructure for up and coming creatives such as ourselves, using our brand’s media platform as a gallery. We are the new Jean-Michel Basquiat, Julia Child, John Coltrane, Richard Branson. SprezzaturaNY will be the place for these artists to come together and become known, the qualifications are there, now all they need- all we need, is to be known.
